中美交流基金会于2023年4月17日，邀请到香港大学经济学教授、亚洲环球研究所所长邓希炜到奥克拉荷马大学访问，并就全球化发表主题演讲。邓希炜教授又在之后举行的圆桌讨论中，与该校的经济系主任Greg Burge教授，经济学助理教授Hewei Shen和Mu-Jeung Yang就科技，文化，和国际贸易等议题展开深入讨论。本次活动对于增进中美两国的理解和互信具有深远意义。
