中美交流基金會於2023年4月17日，邀請到香港大學經濟學教授、亞洲環球研究所所長鄧希煒到奧克拉荷馬大學訪問，並就全球化發表主題演講。鄧希煒教授又在之後舉行的圓桌討論中，與該校的經濟系主任Greg Burge教授，經濟學助理教授Hewei Shen和Mu-Jeung Yang就科技，文化，和國際貿易等議題展開深入討論。本次活動對於增進中美兩國的理解和互信具有深遠意義。
