His Excellency Bokin Bhokin has served in key, senior roles in Thailand’s politics, including Minister of the Interior and Deputy Prime Minister. He was appointed as the President of the House Representatives and the President of the Thai Senate. On the back of his profound success in leading both the lower and upper chambers of Thailand’s National Assembly, Dr. Bhokin went on to advise then Prime Minister Yingluck Chinawatra. Since departing from politics, he has been proactively involved in sustaining and strengthening Thailand’s relationship with China, including for over a decade as the incumbent President of the Thai-Chinese Culture and Economy Association. In this capacity, he has been instrumental in improving cooperation, exchanges and dialogue between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
