Kyle Obermann is an award-winning conservation photographer, filmmaker, and writer. He is currently a host and contributor to "The China Current", where he highlights stories of environmental preservation, cultural exploration, and more. His fieldwork has taken him across China’s remote regions, where he became the first person to circumambulate Ganggeqiaji and expand the known range of Meconopsis barbiseta. Mr. Obermann is a recipient of the Outstanding Alumni Award from Peking University for his work. He also serves as a judge for China’s Outdoor Environmental Awards, and is a member of the International League of Conservation Photographers, the National Committee on United-States China Relations, and the Explorers Club.
