Laura Cha is Senior Advisor to the Board of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, having previously served as its Chairman. She is also a member of the Hong Kong-United States Business Council. Mrs. Cha was Vice Chair of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and in this position helped to modernize China's securities markets. She was the first person outside mainland China to join the Central People’s Government at a vice-ministerial rank. She has held senior roles at HSBC and Unilever and has earned recognition for her expertise in financial regulation and corporate governance.
