James Chau
President, China-United States Exchange Foundation; UN Goodwill Ambassador

James Chau is President of the China-United States Exchange Foundation and UN Goodwill Ambassador. A former television news anchor, he has earned a special reputation for his interviews with global figures including Nobel Peace Prize laureates Jimmy Carter, Kofi Annan, Ban Ki-moon, and Muhammad Yunus. Mr. Chau joined CUSEF in 2018. His work in public health began with the global response to HIV and AIDS. After serving as the first UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador in China, he was appointed WHO Goodwill Ambassador. He studied at Cambridge University, King's College London, and the Royal Academy of Music. He completed his executive education at Harvard Kennedy School. He serves on the World Economic Forum's Global Futures Council.
