Mr. Alan Wong was Executive Director of the China-United States Exchange Foundation from 2010 to 2018. On his retirement in 2018, he was appointed Special Advisor and in 2023 he joined the Board of Governors.
Previously, Mr. Wong served as Deputy Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, a statutory organization responsible for promoting Hong Kong’s external trade. In his career with the HKTDC, he worked in Hong Kong and overseas, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, New York, Panama, Paris and London.
Mr. Wong was born in mainland China and moved to Hong Kong in the 1950s. He attended the University of Alberta and earned a degree of Bachelor of Science.
