Mr. Lee Ka Shing, a member of the 14th Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, has been an Executive Director of the Company since 1993 and was the Vice Chairman of the Company from 2005 to May 2019. On 28 May 2019, he was appointed as Chairman and Managing Director, and a member of the Remuneration Committee and the Nomination Committee of the Company. He was educated in Canada. He is the vice chairman of Henderson Development Limited. He is also the chairman and managing director of Henderson Investment Limited, the chairman and chief executive officer of Miramar Hotel and Investment Company, Limited as well as the chairman of The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited, all of which are listed companies. He is a member of the Court of The University of Hong Kong, the Court of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Court of City University of Hong Kong.
Mr. Lee Ka Shing was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by University College London in 2021 and an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Social Science by The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong in 2022.
