The U.S.-China Relationship on The Global Stage: A European Perspective

CUSEF, in collaboration with the Association of Former Members of Congress (FMC), hosted a webinar on Sep 20, 2022, 7:00 - 8:00 AM EDT (Sep 20, 2022, 7:00 - 8:00 PM HKT) to assess the U.S-China relationship and how it informs European politics, trade, and perspectives.

The virtual webinar featured Former Ambassador of the E.U. to the U.S., David O’Sullivan, and Former Deputy Ambassador of Germany to the U.S., Boris Ruge. Professor Alejandro Reyes moderated the insightful session that provided attendees with a closer look at how Europe is impacted by the current U.S.-China relationship.

The webinar covered the challenges of the U.S.-China relationship. In particular, the speakers provided insights from a European point of view on issues relating to Taiwan, the current war in Ukraine, the changes in European perception of China, possible future EU engagement and partnership with China, and more.
