Happy Thanksgiving

Here at the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF), we enjoy nothing more than celebrating the holidays. Last week, students and young professionals came over for Thanksgiving—among them, those who participated in our recent annual meeting, the Hong Kong Forum on U.S.-China Relations.

Some of our guests were familiar with the story behind Thanksgiving that dates back to 1621, while others were coming together for this great American tradition for the first time. Thanksgiving was declared a national holiday by President Abraham Lincoln and it was President John F. Kennedy who is believed to be the first on record to pardon a turkey.

This is the first of a season of celebrations including Christmas, New Year and the Spring Festival. We wish you, your family, and everyone you care about our very best.
