Leading scholars from China met in Beijing as commemorations continue for the 45th anniversary of normalization of U.S.-China diplomatic ties—an historic event that ushered in an era of peace and prosperity globally.
The meeting was hosted in Beijing on February 2, 2024, by James Chau, President of the China-United States Exchange Foundation on February 2, 2024. Speakers included many distinguished figures in international relations, including Professor Wang Jisi, longtime President of Peking University's Institute of International and Strategic Studies. Professor Wang also serves as CUSEF's Senior Fellow. The event followed a symposium in Washington, D.C. where CUSEF co-organized an exchange between scholars from the U.S., China, and the United Nations.
