As part of CUSEF Next Gen Initiative, the U.S.-China Student to Student Dialogue 2024 was successfully held in Hong Kong and Shenzhen on May 20-28, 2024.

The student delegates were from four top universities of the U.S. and mainland China, including Georgetown University, University of California San Diego, Peking University, and Fudan University. Approximately 30 students and staff members attended the event.

Upon their arrival in Hong Kong, the students visited Tai Kwun— the art center converted from the historic Central Police Station compound and also where Chinese and Western cultures meet.

James Chau, President of the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF), received the students at CUSEF Hong Kong office with a warm tea party, sharing with them the significance of cultural exchanges and encouraging them to carry forward communication, understanding and friendship between the U.S. and China.

The students also visited Chief Executive’s Policy Unit (CEPU), U.S. Consulate General in Hong Kong & Macau, South China Morning Post, the American Chamber of Commerce, Goldman Sachs,  and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. They visited Shenzhen on May 26-27 to learn about the developments in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
