2017 Johns Hopkins SAIS Student Visit: Exploring China's Energy Transition

The China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF) welcomed 22 students from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) to China from November 17 to November 27, 2017.

During the 10-days’ visit, the students visited Beijing, Shenzhen, Changzhou and Shanghai to engage in substantive meetings. Some of the highlights included the meeting with the National Development and Reform Commission, Energy Research Institute, Ministry of Environmental Protection, National Energy Administration, Bloomberg New Energy Finance, China Shenzhen Emissions Exchange, Shenzhen Energy Mawan Energy Plant and a visit to Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute where they were able to interact with the Chinese students and to establish friendship.
