American Law Students Visit China

Five American law students visit Beijing and Hong Kong, meeting with Chinese government officials, judiciary, law firms, corporations and law universities in May 2023.

The US-Asia Institute is inviting top American law students to visit China with the aim of gaining a better understanding of the country and engaging with the Chinese legal and governmental systems.

This program plays an important role in promoting dialogue between governments and citizens, providing future American legal professionals with a profound practical understanding of the internal workings of the Chinese government and legal system and facilitating high-level intellectual and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

This year, from May 14 to 27, five American law students traveled to Beijing and Hong Kong to take part in conversations with Chinese government, judiciary, law firms, corporations and universities. Additionally, the participants explored various historical and cultural attractions in China to further develop their comprehension and awareness of Chinese culture and history.
