On April 17, the China-US Exchange Foundation invited Heiwai Tang, director at the Asia Global Institute and the Victor and William Fung Professor of Economics at Hong Kong University, to visit The University of Oklahoma and deliver a keynote speech on globalization.
Professor Tang held in-depth discussions on technology, culture, and international trade with the chair and professor of the Department of Economics, and with Hewei Shen and Mu-Jeung Yang, assistant professors of economics in the subsequent roundtable discussion.
The event has received a favorable response and contributed significantly to mutual understanding and trust between China and the United States.
