University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy Students Visit China in 2015

On March 22 to 29, 2015, the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF) and the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) organized a visit for 14 students from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy to Beijing and Shanghai. The program focused on China's economic development and culture, allowing students to engage in discussions with governmental officials, scholars, and students from Tsinghua University. Highlights of the trip included insights into foreign business operations, urban planning, and China's policy towards religion, along with visits to historical sites like the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. Students expressed that the trip was an eye-opening experience, deepening their understanding of Chinese society and its rapid economic development.
