Inaugural U.S.-China Forum

The U.S.- China Forum 2015, co-organized by the China-United States Exchange Foundation, the University of Chicago Office of Global Engagement, the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC) and the Paulson Institute was held on 19 May, 2015 at the University of Chicago.

This year’s program was focused on the climate change challenge and on the U.S.-China relations.

The morning session “The Energy, Environment, and Climate Nexus in China: Where Opportunities Converge” featured renowned Chinese and American environment and energy experts. It was followed by a conversation with former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Hank Paulson moderated by Professor Michael Greenstone.

The afternoon session focused on the U.S.-China relations and featured a keynote address by Madame Fu Ying, Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee, 12th National People’s Congress, People’s Republic of China.
