From April 17 to 20, 2025, four distinguished CUSEF Scholars from leading U.S. universities participated in the 9th Yenching Global Symposium (YGS), held in Lingshui, Hainan.
Under the theme “Fortitude: Navigating the Tides of Change,” YGS 2025 provided a dynamic platform for nuanced discussions on global resilience during uncertain times. The program included opening and closing ceremonies, six thematic discussions covering global governance, education, AI, cultural exchange, and leadership, as well as visits to Hai Gui Entrepreneur Town and the Hainan Tanka Museum.
Established in 2016 by students of the Yenching Academy, the symposium has evolved into a premier platform for global youth leaders to foster cross-cultural dialogue. As the event concluded, participants departed with a renewed sense of commitment, enriched perspectives, and stronger international connections.
