Party-to-Party Dialogues
CUSEF facilitates platforms for American and Chinese senior representatives to have candid exchanges on bilateral issues and jointly explore solutions to tackle problems. The first of this meeting was held in 2010.
Chinese and U.S. Economists Dialogues
Since 2010, CUSEF has convened leading economists and scholars from the United States and China to examine global and bilateral economic policy challenges and foster constructive dialogue between the two countries.
Pacific Community Initiative
The Pacific Community Initiative is a multi-year effort to advance dialogue and cooperation between the United States and China around shared regional goals, drawing on Dr. Henry Kissinger’s proposed concept of a “Pacific Community” to promote peace, stability, and prosperity across the region.
Sanya Initiative
CUSEF is an established partner of the Sanya Initiative, also known as the U.S.-China Military-to-Military Dialogue. The annual closed-door discussion gathers retired four-star generals and naval admirals. This is a critical framework in uncertain times for international security. The first meeting was held in Sanya of Hainan, China in 2008.
Rule of Law Dialogues
CUSEF has hosted multiple rounds of the China-U.S. Rule of Law Dialogue, bringing together legal experts and scholars from both countries to exchange views and research on China’s legal system.
